Burkina Morgan is a public health practitioner with a focus on health communication and community impact of social determinates of health. She has worked internationally with UNICEF, National Health Service, and the UK’s Thrive LDN as a communication strategist to develop innovative communication interventions and generate mainstream and targeted health content.

Burkina Morgan has served her community in New York City with New York City’s Departm ent of Health and Human Services to create community programming centered around how to define and improve community reinvestment; and most recently managed funding proposals to support institutional training and infrastructure for New Jersey Transit.

Burkina Morgan is passionate about addressing health inequities within her immediate community as well as internationally, and works with community organizations to increase community engagement and address community need. She holds baccalaureate degrees in Philosophy and Women’s Studies from Morgan State University; and a master’s degree in public health with a concentration of social and behavioral sciences from New York University.
